| Shortly after clearing a property damage collision on North Main Street, Company 6 was alerted for a automatic fire alarm at Boonsboro High School. Assistant Chief 6 arrived and was met by school administration who advised there was smoke in a classroom and the building was being evacuated.
AC6 upgraded the assignment. E61 stretched a hand line and began investigating while Truck 6 laddered the roof.
The majority of the structure fire assignment investigated the origin of the smoke which was determined to be a HVAC issue.
Crews ventilated and metered the interior of the building and found no further hazards. The building was turned back over to school administration and repopulated shortly after. |
