Shortly after 7:00 a.m., and before the daylight paid staff and volunteers could get their coffee, stations 8 and 6 were alerted with mutual aide for the possible house fire in the 300 block of North main Street.
Engine 61, with Deputy Chief 8 on board, called out the water supply and arrived on scene to report nothing showing and established the 6 command.
After very brief investigation, the reported house fire was determined to be a possible swatting type call. There was no need for fire or ems resources.
The suspected report of a house fire, which was determined to be false, was referred to the Boonsboro Police Department for further investigation. |
