Just after midnight, Boonsboro Fire (Gapland/Rohrersville Station), Potomac Valley, and Brunswick were dispatched to a reported fire on the CSX bridge that spans from Maryland to Harpers Ferry, WV. After ensuring train traffic was stopped, crews investigated and found multiple ties on fire near the bridge midpoint. After brief discussion, it was determined that deploying a hoseline from the Harpers Ferry Train Station would be the best extinguishment option. Additional units from Jefferson County, WV, Loudoun County, VA, as well as water rescue assets were requested to assist.

Crews extinguished the fire and cleared just before 4:00 a.m.
